

The full version was released on May 20, 2022. A beta version was open from April 7 to April 14, 2022. On March 8, 2022, the pre-register of the Korean server of game was released. The following week, the full release date was confirmed to be December 7, 2021. An open beta test began on Octoand ended on October 19 of the same year. The official site, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts were all announced on August 31, 2021. Available only in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, a release of the game to Mainland China, and Southeast Asian regions is planned to become available in 2024.

The full game was released on Septemwith the game's version immediately on version 1.7. The beta server ultimately closed a week after on September 7.

A beta version, also released on August 31, 2021, was held for a limited amount of Android users. The official site, Facebook and Instagram accounts were all announced on August 31, 2021. Because various preregistration milestones were reached, there would be rewards for everyone who downloaded the game from then on. In the fifth Project SEKAI livestream, it was announced pre-registration will start on July 22. Pre-registration was originally set to begin in late April, but it was delayed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The game was released on September 30, 2020. The demo ended on September 11th, 2020, and has not been playable since then. The Rehearsal Edit featured three songs Hibana -Reloaded-, Sweet Magic, and Tell Your World, each having all five levels of beatmap difficulty. On September 5, 2020, the Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! Rehearsal Edit was released, showcasing the rhythm game itself, along with the Virtual Live room, where players can interact with one another.
